I don't want to get into the habit of stealing everything I post from UBU, but I'm a huge Rodney Graham fan and was lucky enough to catch this film, as part of its installation, in the 'High Society' exhibition at the Welcome Collection earlier this year. Its a 16mm film that was activated by a record player with a 12" recorded by Graham. Click the image to watch the film and read Graham's explanation. My favourite feature was that you only had to place the needle down to start the projector, it didn't matter what point the record was at, leading to a variation in the dramatic interpretation.
