'Proxy, or', a mix of three artists displaying, drawing, installation and video work. David Blandy's 'Dual and Dualities:Battle of the Soul' tackles the boundaries of reality and fantasy, this being an ongoing subject in his work. Here we see him offer a hacked arcade game in the style of street fighter 2, featuring characters from his previous body of work. This piece perhaps speaks out to a younger contemporary generation, familiar with the escapism involved in the, for some, ritual of playing games consoles.
'Passenger', by Riley Harmon, is a series of video clips where the artist has edited himself into car scenes from feature films. Technical ability reins supreme in this work with seamless editing, creating a tension between the actors and their new found co-star. Its interesting to think about copyright in this situation, this work is probably illegal, that just adds to the humour though.
